HULL Bio - Douglas Reese
I'm a 41 year old male living in Miami, Florida. I'm married with one daughter. I attended college at the University of Miami and graduated in 1978. Attended Graduate school at Florida International University.
My interest in Harpoon comes as a result of my father, who is retired from the navy after 21 years. He worked on the black boxes of the A-6 Intruder during Vietnam back in '65. He served on board various carriers and I lived in all kinds of cities along both coasts for quite a few of my formative years. I own every Harpoon product created (except H97). Since H2 came out I only play that now. I also own all of the versions of paper Harpoon including H4.
In real life I'm a cop. I work for the Metro-Dade Police Department (same Department that brought you Miami Vice) and I'm in charge of the Vice Squad. Sorry to disappoint, but we don't really dress like that. We really are undercover officers, however, and things do get rather exciting on occasion.
My hobbies also include baseball. I have season tickets to the Marlins (great seats behind home). Additionally, I am an avid sports fan. My degree is in journalism and I spent quite a bit of time around all kinds of events. My job is also somewhat sports related in that a lot of what we investigate is organized gambling.
I am a playtester for a computer baseball game (Miller Associates) and have been so since 1985. I actually purchased a computer so that I could play the BB game and Harpoon.
I own four quality computers and my wife says that I spend too much time on any of them. These two games are a great way to unwind from that ho-hum career that I have and it keeps me off the streets.
I have read all of Larry Bond and Tom Clancy. I want to publicly state that I like Larry's work best.
I have to admit that I'm on the service daily but I keep rather silent. I sincerely appreciate everyone's input that serves to make Harpoon the best game that there is.
